Meet the founder
Meet Daniel Spavin-Haigh
Daniel is an industrial electrical engineer with 15 years’ experience, bringing proper engineering to an industry where much of the advice comes from traders and marketers. He founded Blockchain Mining Solutions in Hull in early 2024.
The company supplies Bitmain mining machines, provides remote and on-site technical support, and designs and builds mining farms, from home sheds to full commercial sites, including farms powered by surplus solar, wind and biogas.
When you buy from us, you deal with Dan directly, from choosing the right machines to setting them up and supporting them afterwards. He is also the author of Turn Spare Power into Bitcoin, a UK beginner’s guide to Bitcoin mining with solar, wind and biogas.

That is exactly what this client’s 8 x S21+ 235TH set-up did. With a total hashrate of 1,880 TH/s, it was forecast to pay for itself in 11 months.
This mining farm is powered solely by surplus renewable energy from a methane anaerobic digestion system. It was forecast to return about 12p per kWh, and in its first year it earned between 10p and 12p for every kWh, paid out in BTC to a decentralised wallet of the owner’s choice.
Figures were forecast in May 2025, when bitcoin was about $103,000 and network difficulty was about 120 trillion. Mining income rises and falls with bitcoin’s price and network difficulty: at 2 November 2026 figures, the same site earns about 6.7p per kWh. Past results are not a guide to future returns. The start of your Bitcoin mining journey, this can be carried out remotely, we will schedule a video call with you to discuss your budget, infrastructure, projected BTC earnings, return on investment, Bitcoin mining basics and any other questions that you may have.

This is where we survey your mining farm’s potential location and infrastructure. This can be carried out in person or remotely. We will survey the suitability of all the key components of the mining farm, including: electrics, airflow arrangement, noise management, security, networking and environment.
Specification
Specification
After the site survey, we will specify what is required to achieve a close to optimal operating environment. We only utilise market leading suppliers and equipment.
Quote

A quote will be emailed across to you itemised in two parts.
The first part will be your mining farm’s install, labour and equipment costings.
The second part will be the costings for your ASIC machine selection and deployment.
Installation
Installation
This is where you have the option of installing the infrastructure around our spec yourself.
Or utilise our turnkey solution with our team of expert installers. This is where we handle the install, supply and deployment of your machines.
Deployment
Deployment
Once the infrastructure has been installed we will then optimise your mining farm to achieve that close to optimal operating environment.
We will then set up each machine independently while monitoring airflow, noise levels and chip temperatures.
We will then hand over the project to you while training you on operating and maintaining your mining farm.
